By and large, it was the first snow storm of the year. It came suddenly and persistently. Blanketing the bold and the shy, snowflake by snowflake, till all was covered and damp. But, many braved the weather and kept their spirits high, trampling on the snow. After all, this is New York! Today, it’s here, but tomorrow the snow will be gone!
Christian Dior‘s pre-fall collection wasn’t exactly cohesive or distinctive enough to reveal any themes and inspirations. Of course, with Raf Simons departure last October, there’s no one to blame for this. Until there is a replacement, the show mush continue.
But, we did find just about three outfits that were like. Not particularly out of this world, the looks and outfit did have elements that made then stand out, particularly the large over coats, the color palette used, and the animal prints.

The 2012 Korean Textile and Fashion Trade Show, known as the Korean Preview was held at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City on Nov. 28 and 29.
The blanket rain coat is a design by New York based Meiling Chen. It’s named as such because when spread out completely it looks like a blanket. Also, aside from being a “Qt” outerwear, it will protect your lovely inner outfit from the elements.
